Who We Are
Until the beginning of the last century, where there was the only access from the west side of Assisi, today there is the Agriturismo La Piaggia. The name comes from an ancient road which, from the medieval gate “San Francesco”, goes down the hill till the bridge over the “Tescio” stream.
Located at the foot of the Basilica of San Francesco, Agriturismo La Piaggia enjoys a beautiful view overlooking the surrounding valley. Olive trees surround the entire property, in perfect harmony with the rustic but comfortable style, typical of the ancient rural tradition.
Rooms
The rooms of Agriturismo La Piaggia, characterised by different colors, take their name from the most famous churches in Assisi. All six rooms respect the style of the property highlighting the harmonious features of the place. Equipped with a private bathroom and all modern comforts, they pay attention to the peculiarities of the territory, transmitting thay simple way of living that has become the “brand” of the saint of Assisi.

OUR Oil
The Piaggia has olive trees, which allow it to produce an excellent extra virgin olive oil every year. The manual harvest, the classic squeesing obtained with the only pressure, the attention in the storage and the excellent preservation of the product, contribute to the genuineness of it, appreciated and sought after all over the world.
Where We Are
The Agriturismo La Piaggia is located exactly on the slopes of the Basilica of San Francesco, just a few minutes walk from the historical center of Assisi, in Viale Giovanna di Savoia, 3, 06081 Assisi PG. Thanks to the parking exclusively reserved for guests, it is perfect for those who want to visit the city without having to worry about parking or for those who want to explore, through the many paths proposed, the natural beauty of the place. Logistically, it is ideal for traveling around the various Umbrian villages, being perfectly connected with the main roads. Just 5 minutes by car you will find the Assisi train station and 20 minutes from the airport.
