Our Country House is close to the hill on which Assisi is built: the sightseeing is splendid, and you can reach Assisi simply by foot, walking on the "Piaggia", an ancient track that, from the medieval arch "Saint Francis", close to the Basilica of Saint Francis, leads to the small bridge on the Tescio river.
 

They say that, since the beginning of the second millenium, this was the only west access to Assisi, when the river was still poached by a wade.
 

Around "La Piaggia" you can see a relaxing valley, rich of olive trees. In the garden you can read or simply take your time, without haste.

Many details of the building and the furniture were made by them, respecting the ancient agricultural tradition, by which the farm's owner must be able to do Everything.


The daily presence of the two brothers, their management, and the various services (laundry, breakfast, etc.), but above all their friendlyness and openness, will make your stay in Assisi a special holiday.


 

Don't forget to look for umbrian food when you go around: cheeses, cold cuts, meat, vegetables are goooood, because they're grown by old-style farmers, like it used to be a long time ago.
