Welcome in the website of Country House Assisi "La Piaggia", a good place for your holidays in Umbria, one of the most beautiful regions of Italy.

Just few hundreds meter away from our Tourist Farm there is the "Basilica" of Saint Francis of Assisi, a spectacular church with medieval and renaissance frescos.

From there you can start your visit in the historical center of Assisi, up to the "Piazza del Comune" square with an ancient roman Forum under it.

Around Assisi there are nice woods and hills to hike, and smell the green with your nostrils.

Our country house has spacious and well-furnished rooms, with private bathroom, telephone and other services.

In front of the building there is a big green garden (as you can see above), where you can relax, read a book, listen the nature, or let your children play without disturbs.

Weather and climate in Assisi

Umbria is famous for its cousine: hundreds of tipical products and delicatessens (cold cuts, cheeses, "norcinerie") can be found in shops, groceries and restaurants. You can also bring them home to your friends: it's a very delicious present!

We're sure that, if you come in Assisi, it's also to admire the artistic works, monuments, or just to find our roots in the simple franciscan way of living: there are places like the "Eremo delle carceri" (prison's retreat of Saint Francis) that induces reflections and self-investigation, and that can help to find serenity and peace again.
